Our meets and the Coronavirus #Covid19

We are witnessing, among other things the cancellation of the indoor world championships in Nanjing (posticipated for one year), a succession of other cancellations in all areas of public life (schools, cultural events, sports, means of transport ...), dictated by the respective governments.

The lifestyle of the population is changing to take into account the precautions recommended by governments, in agreement with the World Health Organization.

Each country, depending on the development observed, applies restrictions in terms of similarities, in order to restrict the spread of this virus. Sports federations apply these restrictions and when sports competitions are not canceled entirely, they take place behind closed doors.

The EAP circuit, as a grouping of competitions across Europe, depends on the decisions of each national federation.

At the moment, all our competitions are maintained, but we are concerned.

If restrictions, cancellations or changes in dates occur, we will keep you informed as soon as possible.

We support and recommend good WHO practices to prevent this devastating spread of the virus: During day-to-day activities, people can take the following measures to prevent infection, in accordance with WHO guidelines (www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public :

  1. Wash your hands frequently
  2. Maintain social distancing
  3. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
  4. Practice respiratory hygiene
  5. If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early
  6. Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider
